NWA 14225 LL6 Ordinary Chondrite
Discovered in 2021 near Talsint, Morocco, NWA 14225 is a fascinating example of an LL6 ordinary chondrite — a type of stony meteorite that formed deep within a parent asteroid and underwent intense thermal metamorphism.
This specimen shows a recrystallized texture, where most chondrules have been erased due to high heat, leaving behind an elegant, uniform structure of silicate minerals. Classified as LL6, S4, W1, it represents the final stage before melting, offering a rare window into asteroid geology.
