NWA 13272 Ungrouped Achondrite 10.8 G
NWA 13272 Ungrouped Achondrite Meteorite
Discovered in Mauritania and purchased in December 2019, NWA 13272 is a rare ungrouped achondrite with igneous textures unlike any established meteorite group. Polished surfaces reveal a fine-grained poikilitic structure with twinned pyroxenes, olivine, devitrified silicic glass, and traces of metal—making it both scientifically significant and visually striking.
This specimen shows oxygen isotopic affinities to L chondrites but remains ungrouped, highlighting its uniqueness and importance for research. With a low shock stage and low-to-moderate weathering, it is exceptionally well-preserved for study and display.
Each piece comes with a Certificate of Authenticity (COA), offering collectors and researchers a chance to own one of the most intriguing ungrouped meteorites from Northwest Africa.
