Northwest Africa 12344 (NWA 12344) is a rare HED achondrite, specifically a polymict eucrite, purchased in 2018 from Talsint, Morocco. This specimen is a striking breccia composed of multiple eucritic lithic clasts, pyroxene, plagioclase, silica polymorphs, and iron-rich olivine, bound together by shock-melt and vesicular melt pockets. Such textures reveal a violent history of impacts and reassembly on its parent body, most likely asteroid 4 Vesta.

Eucrites are among the most sought-after meteorites, as they formed through volcanic and magmatic processes similar to those on Earth. Their mineralogy and structure provide valuable insights into planetary differentiation and volcanic activity in the early solar system.
