Yes. Buy Meteorite LLC sells genuine meteorites and clearly described geological specimens. Each listing is prepared from the available provenance, physical characteristics, and classification information. We do not represent an unclassified stone as formally classified.

A classified meteorite has been studied by a qualified laboratory and its name and classification have been approved and published through the Meteoritical Society. An unclassified specimen may be sold as a meteorite based on established evidence and provenance, but it does not yet have an official laboratory classification.

The documentation supplied is stated on each product page. Depending on the specimen, this may include an identification card, certificate from Buy Meteorite LLC, specimen data, provenance, or a reference to its official classification.

NWA stands for Northwest Africa. An NWA number is an official sequential name assigned after classification and approval; it is not a quality grade. Material described only as “Northwest Africa” without a number is not necessarily formally classified.

Unless a listing explicitly states that multiple similar pieces are available, the photographs show the individual specimen offered. Review the complete listing for dimensions, weight, preparation, and any included display or documentation.

Shape, fusion crust, weathering, cutting, polishing, metal distribution, shock, and individual mineral texture can vary greatly within one classification. Natural specimens are unique rather than factory-identical.

We currently ship to most countries and territories worldwide. Availability may change because of carrier restrictions, sanctions, local import rules, or temporary service interruptions. The options displayed at checkout are the ones available for your address.

For international destinations outside the United States, Standard International shipping is $19 USD below $120 and free from $120 USD. For the United States, tracked shipping is $19 USD below $120, while qualifying orders from $120 USD receive free DHL shipping. Checkout displays the final applicable option.

Orders are normally processed within 1 business day after payment confirmation. Orders placed on weekends or public holidays are processed on the next business day. Processing time is separate from carrier transit time.

Yes. We send a shipping confirmation to the email used at checkout when the order is dispatched. International tracking can pause while a parcel moves between countries, awaits customs clearance, or waits for its first scan in the destination network.

Unless checkout expressly states otherwise, import duties, VAT, taxes, brokerage, and customs fees are not included. The recipient is responsible for charges assessed by the destination country or carrier. See our Shipping Policy for full details, including current information for U.S. imports.

Available methods are shown securely at checkout and may include major cards, PayPal, Apple Pay, Google Pay, and bank transfer depending on your device and location.

Contact us immediately after ordering. We will help when possible, but an address cannot always be changed once the parcel has been prepared or transferred to the carrier.

Email us with your order number. For damage, keep the specimen, packaging, and shipping label and provide clear photographs. We will review the tracking and open a carrier investigation when appropriate.

Eligible returns and refunds are handled according to our current Return and Refund Policy. Contact us before returning anything so we can provide the correct instructions and protect the specimen in transit.

Handle it with clean, dry hands or gloves, especially if it has a polished surface or exposed metal. Avoid unnecessary touching and never apply household cleaners, acids, oils, or coatings unless advised by a conservation professional.

Keep it in a stable, low-humidity environment away from water, salt, and rapid temperature changes. A closed display case with fresh desiccant can help. Inspect exposed metal periodically for new orange or brown oxidation.

A weak magnet response can be one clue, but it cannot prove that a rock is a meteorite. Strong magnets may also affect remanent magnetism used in scientific research. Identification should combine context, physical observations, and appropriate laboratory testing.
